The company started in the year of 1988 with activities like loading, unloading and transporting machineries and equipments, for 2 X 70 MW units of Gujarat Electricity Board (GEB)–Kachchh Lignite Thermal power Station (KLTPS) from Gandhidham railway station to power house site at Panandhro (200 Kms.) This included handling and transportation of Over Dimensional Consignment (ODC) of 110Mt. in single piece and 100 ft. in length.
GHL has carried out lifting, shifting, transporting and erection works of heavy consignments and ODC of BHEL, GEB - Sikka TPS (120 MW – Unit No-II), IOC (Indian Oil Corporation ) and many other departments. Recently GHL completed its contract with BHEL for handling of project Cargo at KLTPS, Panandhro for 70 MW Unit - IV.
It talks about its work with M/s. Elektrim (India) Ltd. of Poland for transportation of project cargo from Mumbai Port and Kandla port to Kachchh Lignite Thermal Power Station, Panandhro site (Kachchh) for 70 MW Unit-III. |

Ganatra Heavy Lifters productively trade with M/s. Sanghi Industries Ltd., Sanghipuram for the task of delivering cement in Jumbo bags form packing unit to Jetty and then unloading cement Jumbo bags into the barges. Engaging GHL’s heavy cranes, forklifts and trailers, handling of more than 2,000 MT per day and about 30,000 MT. every month.
The company is handling the entire production (round –the –clock) since last fifteen years with its own cranes /forklifts / loader /bobcat and man power for the following customers:
- Bell Ceramics Ltd., Unit No.1, Dora Factory, Near Baroda, Gujarat.
(6,000 MT X 12 Months = 72000 MT minimum per year).
- Bell Ceramics Ltd. Unit No.2 Hoskote Factory, Bangalore.
(12,000 MT X 12 Months = 144000 Mt minimum per year).
